I really like that there are selections from older texts in the back- a feature that's unusual for alchemical books (especially intro books) but is very important.

Alchemy is something a person must do in order to learn, but if you're Discoveries: Alchemy book gathering information and considering the practices and philosophy, For what the book is, which is a brief introduction and overview of alchemy, this is a good book/5.
